  1. Bug: Incontrol updates control status before receiving updates

Overall, and due to a variety of issues, incontrol doesn't actually control my devices 5% of the time while saying it did. If I push a button to turn on a light, 95% of the time it will turn on then and represent it on the screen. However if the item ghosts (in another future bug report), has comm issues, or the cloud has issues, incontrol will act like it send the control and update itself immediately to represent that change. This is both in the android version and the main incontrol software. What it should do is send out…

  2. Bug: New Zwave Garage Tilt Sensor has issues

The device in question is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HGVJRX2/ref=s9_simh_gw_p60_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0QZJQ78BP23NW79Q0N0S&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

The tilt sensor adds fine to the network, however, incontrol receives updates from the sensor only about 50% of the time. It seems to work just fine on other zwave systems. Also distance does not seem to be a factor. Even right next to the z stick it only gets about 50% of the updates. However, I can see my repeater blink every time I tilt / straighten the sensor, so it is sending out info. I changed the polling rate and that has had no effect. If you view the amazon page and…

  3. Add another set of optional inequalities to the "Add Device At State for Time Condition" condition

Add the "less than/greater than" option to the time element of "Add Device At State for Time Condition". For example a condition that says "After Family Room Window has been = 255 for < 10 minutes"

  4. Option to use SQLExpress or a full edition of MS SQL Server

I'd love to have the option to use SQLExpress or a full edition of MS SQL Server as the database rather than SQLCE. SQLCE is no longer supported in SQL Server Management Studio as of SQL 2012. Adding this option would open up a world of "after the fact" scripts from the community.

  5. Android Wear Support

Add support for android wear. I would like to see when events are triggered and be able to activate regularly used scenes. This will require phone notifications of events.

  6. Focus development mainly on mobile app

I manage most of my daily activities from my mobile now days. The server should just basically control your devices and USB stick, and connects to the cloud or directly to your mobile app. No need there for a complicated GUI, only manage server options. Everything else should be handled from the mobile app: be able to control every aspect of the server app, add/remove devices, create and control scenes, etc.
The logic would be server side (i.e. local) but could be controlled over the cloud.

  7. Unlimited Home Grid View for Android App

The Home View is great to have your most used devices, but it would be better if the grid was not limited. My suggestion is to be able to pin as many devices as you want, three per row, and scroll down as you fill the screen. A smaller font would probably be in order.

  8. Remote InControl HA Client

Have my InControl HA Server on my "always on" PC in the basement but use remote desktop to manage it from my lazy boy notebook (located upstairs). Be nice to have like Android and IOS but to control the server remotely with a native app/program that would run across the local network. There are times I want to setup a new scene, or as simple as turning on the light in the living room while I have my PC on.

  10. Operate Confirmation Box

Some devices and scenes are more important than others. One way to prevent accidental operations, such as turning water off or opening the garage door, is to add an option to have an additional “are you sure” pop-up. Maybe have a confirmation check box on each scene and device property that would allow the pop-ups. That way, unnecessary operations on key devices can be avoided. This is a standard feature in corporate level SCADA platforms.

  11. Copy and Paste for scenes

When creating a new scene, it would be good to be able to copy or clone an existing one as a starting point/template to avoid redefining all devices, conditions and triggers from scratch each time. Particularly if the new scene to be created is similar to an existing one.

  12. Multiple sets of Conditions/Triggers per Scene

With the old Rules going away there is a level of simplicity that is also lost. Where I used to have few scenes and many rules to control them I now have to build a scene for every single rule. I end up with multiple identical scenes that have to be created for every rule, it seems a bit redundant and time consuming especially since there is no copy/paste or cloning. It would be nice to have multiple sets of Conditions/Triggers per Scene or a way to replicate Scenes.

  13. Add support for all functionality of the DC1-ZW (Shades in Motion), DBMZ (Hunter Douglas) and Z-Wave to Digital Motor Int., ZDMI (Somfy)

Add more support for shade controllers. Currently devices are recognized as dimmer switches, but funtionality is limited to fully open or fully closed. Programming manual for the DC1-ZW can be found here: http://www.shadesinmotion.com/media/Z-Wave%20Controller%20Family%20Programming%20Manual.pdf

  16. Auto Wake computer for Triggered Time Scenes

Allow InControl to wake the computer up for scenes that are triggered at a given time. This would allow a computer to sleep but wake up to turn a set of lights on or off.

While the computer is asleep, the InControl smart phone apps would not function and other triggers, like motion detection would not wake the computer.

  17. Add a feature to maintain connection to he server even when the screen is turned off, for wall mounted tablets that are always plugged in.

That way a tablet can be used as a scene switch on the wall, with the same responsiveness and ease of use.

  18. Thermostat and Home Screen in mobile app

I currently only have one thermostat. If I add the device to the home screen it just gives me On\Off status and no thermostat controls. I would like this to default to show current temp and system activity. Then when you click on it full control of the Thermostat. Currently you have to use the "Thermostats" group on the home screen to be able to control an thermostat from the home screen. This is just an unneeded extra click when only one Thermostat exists in your network.

  20. Create a Pebble watch app that would allow scene activation from the watch face.

This was mentioned a year ago but nothing came of it. They just released the latest version of the SDK. Apparently you can develop in C and javascript now.
