  1. Windows 8.1 Incontrol App

A function Windows 8.1 App that could be used in all versions of Windows 8 including windows 8.1 RT. Would be nice to have windows 8.1 app that could be used on Windows 8 tablets such as the Surface, and Surface 2.

  2. Allow mobile app to connect directly when on specific wifi.

I'd like an option that when connected to selected wifi (the home wifi) you can select a direct connection (the internal IP address of the server). All the other connection options (direct to external IP, cloud connection) are still the same and are used when the selected Wifi is not connected.

I'm hoping this increases the speed of connections, make the app a bit more responsive.

  3. EcoBee

I have a couple Ecobee thermostats because of their remote sensors. I'd love integration and management of these devices through InControl if it's not a bother.

  4. Option to use SQLExpress or a full edition of MS SQL Server

I'd love to have the option to use SQLExpress or a full edition of MS SQL Server as the database rather than SQLCE. SQLCE is no longer supported in SQL Server Management Studio as of SQL 2012. Adding this option would open up a world of "after the fact" scripts from the community.

  5. Integrate InControl with DSC Alarm Module

This is a module that will allow the integration: http://www.dsc.com/index.php?n=products&o=view&id=22

For anyone interested in this, what kind of integration would you like to see? I.e, if Incontrol had this, what would you be able to do inside of the program to interact with the DSC module?

  6. Android Wear Support

Add support for android wear. I would like to see when events are triggered and be able to activate regularly used scenes. This will require phone notifications of events.

  7. Add a category for Window Blinds (or Shutter)

More than half of my zwave devices are window blinds or shutters, or awnings, which include sunlight sensors so as to part close at bright times of the day/year. The InControl software should recognise this type of device and provide open/close functionality... currently it is detected as a dimmer switch - the functionality works but it's not visually correct.

  8. Harmony Hub (IR & A/V) Support

Harmony Hub is a universal remote, without the remote.. You use your phone and an app to control all of your AV equipment. You can also purchase a remote.. But the hub does everything. They now offer API support so we can get the Harmony Hub linked to InControl... Hit the good night button and lights out, tv, amp, directv off... Doors lock.. Or hit the "watch a movie" button on the harmony app, and have the lights dim, blinds shut, popcorn popper kick on! lol.. Lets get some votes for IR support within InControl!

    Google "Harmony Hub" for more…

Currently waiting to hear back from Logitech about API access. There are lots of complains about them on the -net about being slow to grant access to the API. If that turns out, we may look at making a Philips Hue “emulator” since it already has a device on the hub.

  10. Run In System Tray

All InControl to run in system Tray. This would avoid accidentally closing the server.

  11. Copy and Paste for scenes

When creating a new scene, it would be good to be able to copy or clone an existing one as a starting point/template to avoid redefining all devices, conditions and triggers from scratch each time. Particularly if the new scene to be created is similar to an existing one.

  15. Remote InControl HA Client

Have my InControl HA Server on my "always on" PC in the basement but use remote desktop to manage it from my lazy boy notebook (located upstairs). Be nice to have like Android and IOS but to control the server remotely with a native app/program that would run across the local network. There are times I want to setup a new scene, or as simple as turning on the light in the living room while I have my PC on.

  17. Device & Scene History

Provide a means to (optionally) log device events and scene activations as they occur; for example, when a motion detector senses motion or a lock is operated.

Include mobile history viewer that shows a listing of all these changes as they occurred in time.

  18. Label Nest Home/Away Status on Android app

In the desktop version the Nest plugin Home/Away status automatically gets labels applied to the level values (0=Away , 255 = Home).

Please show the labels in the Android app as well, rather than the numerical values it reports currently.

  19. Focus development mainly on mobile app

I manage most of my daily activities from my mobile now days. The server should just basically control your devices and USB stick, and connects to the cloud or directly to your mobile app. No need there for a complicated GUI, only manage server options. Everything else should be handled from the mobile app: be able to control every aspect of the server app, add/remove devices, create and control scenes, etc.
The logic would be server side (i.e. local) but could be controlled over the cloud.
