  1. Multiple sets of Conditions/Triggers per Scene

With the old Rules going away there is a level of simplicity that is also lost. Where I used to have few scenes and many rules to control them I now have to build a scene for every single rule. I end up with multiple identical scenes that have to be created for every rule, it seems a bit redundant and time consuming especially since there is no copy/paste or cloning. It would be nice to have multiple sets of Conditions/Triggers per Scene or a way to replicate Scenes.

  2. New Switch Type

I like all the new device types in the recent versions. One addition I would suggest is to have a two state device that doesn't have a light symbol and maybe have customizable text. I have garage door openers, valves, and soon to be other devices on the network that are not really switches and are more of a relay. Maybe a separate relay entry with similar functionality as the standard switch.

  3. Add Device level usage in Scene/Rule condition

Playing with mobile temperature control (don't have a thermostat device just yet). Would like to: Create a Virtual Device (named MAX) set to "viewable on mobile device" and set the type as DIMMER (only so its value is adjustable on the fly). Now what i'd like to do is somehow use the following logic in a trigger OR condition: when "A DEVICE is > level MAX " instead of using a numeric value comparative. (allowing thus to "push/update" the value in the condition from the mobile client side)

  4. Provide Support for TCP Connected Lighting

These lights are relatively cheap. Would love to be able to control them through InControl

  5. Windows Phone App Refresh Bug

There appears to be a refresh bug in the WP app. See this thread for details: http://store.incontrolzwave.com/boards/topic/391/windows-phone-8-app-hit-or-miss

  6. Unlimited Home Grid View for Android App

The Home View is great to have your most used devices, but it would be better if the grid was not limited. My suggestion is to be able to pin as many devices as you want, three per row, and scroll down as you fill the screen. A smaller font would probably be in order.

  7. Virtual Object Type for Virtual Devices

I'd love to see a "Virtual Switch" or something equivalent get added to the object types (Standard Switch, Dimmer Switch, Power Outlet, etc.), so they wouldn't show up in the mobile app as "Lights" or "Outlets." I use a fair number of virtual devices as toggles for statuses (Home, Awake, Vacation, Holiday, etc), so I need the ability to turn them on/off, but I'd love it if the "Lights" and "Outlets" groups on the mobile devices showed only physical devices, and instead all the virtual devices ended up in their own group.

  8. Change individual aspects of thermostat in a scene

There are times when I only want to change one aspect of my thermostat, and not everything else that's going on with it.

For example, during the day when everyone is gone I don't want my HVAC fan to run all the time, so I put it on auto. At night, though, I want it on so the temperature in my house evens out. This is independent of the temperatures I want to set.

  9. Additional Controller-Related Functions

In order to assist in the creation, editing, and testing of InControl installations it would be handy to have the following additional controller-related functions. 1) Provide a means to backup and restore the contents of the primary controller. 2) Provide a means to replicate any controller (primary or secondary) to another controller and set the new controller to be primary or secondary.

  10. Create a Windows Home Server Add-In

I have InControl installed on my Windows Home Server. Currently, I have to remote desktop into the server in order to configure the InControl Server. It would be much simpler if there were an interface for the InControl Server in the Windows Home Server Dashboard. I'm running version 2011, but I'm sure that there are many out there running v.1 who would also love this feature.

  11. Bug: Incontrol updates control status before receiving updates

Overall, and due to a variety of issues, incontrol doesn't actually control my devices 5% of the time while saying it did. If I push a button to turn on a light, 95% of the time it will turn on then and represent it on the screen. However if the item ghosts (in another future bug report), has comm issues, or the cloud has issues, incontrol will act like it send the control and update itself immediately to represent that change. This is both in the android version and the main incontrol software. What it should do is send out…

  12. Add a feature to maintain connection to he server even when the screen is turned off, for wall mounted tablets that are always plugged in.

That way a tablet can be used as a scene switch on the wall, with the same responsiveness and ease of use.

  13. Squeezebox Integration

I know you already have integration with Sonos but Integration with Squeezebox and Squeeze server would be great. The squeezebox (although discontinued now) is a cheaper solution than Sonos and can be run on Pi's and other things as well.

  14. Create a Pebble watch app that would allow scene activation from the watch face.

This was mentioned a year ago but nothing came of it. They just released the latest version of the SDK. Apparently you can develop in C and javascript now.

  15. Allow time conditions to apply offsets to sunset/sunrise times

I have a scene that triggers when motion is detected. I have a time condition set to only do this between sunset and sunrise. However, I would like this time condition to start -30mins BEFORE sunset. I can do this with a time trigger but then the scene will activate even if motion is not detected (due to triggers using OR logic). You can't specify a BETWEEN clause in triggers either so consistency between the two (triggers and conditions) would be good.

  17. Allow graphing multiple sensors on the same chart and exporting of chart data

Provide ability to export data from the level report screen. Also provide the ability to graph multiple sensors on the same chart over a period of time. For example I want to select the Virtual Temperature Sensor as well as the Thermostat sensor to determine how long my thermostat has been running compared to the temperature in the house.

  18. Plex Remote Add In For Scene Control.

I'd like a Plex remote to be tied in with the Android and IOS apps to navigate Plex and activate scenes. Play to dim the lights, Pause and Stop to raise them. I believe this should be a nice user friendly way of accomplishing home theater automation with InControl.

  19. Split view for scenes - Triggers and Conditions visible.

Now that Rules are going away, I'd love it if I could see both the triggers and the conditions for a Scene at the same time, perhaps one "window" stacked above the other.

Or, alternately, an additional "summary" tab that would summarize all the settings in a scene, so you could easily see what a given scene is doing.
