  1. Enable setting Hue bulb color by RGB value.

When you have multiple Hue bulbs in one area you often want them all set to exactly the same color. The color wheel does not provide enough precision to make this possible. It would be nice if you could directly enter RGB values between 0 and 255.

  2. Provider ID ordering

This is a minor annoyance, but it's always bugged me the way that my devices get sorted by Provider ID. It sorts them the way Windows did in the old days, like this:

    1
    10
    100
    101
    102
    11
    12
    ...
    19
    2
    20
    21

I'd like to see it sort the correct way, like Windows does now.

  5. NFC to toggle device state

Add the ability to assign an NFC tag to a device. When scanned, it will simply toggle the state of the device.

  6. Limit devices to a password

Allow the creation of multiple passwords for an account. Then assign certain devices to a password. Any device using that given password will only be able to see and interact with the assigned devices.

  11. Operate Confirmation Box

Some devices and scenes are more important than others. One way to prevent accidental operations, such as turning water off or opening the garage door, is to add an option to have an additional “are you sure” pop-up. Maybe have a confirmation check box on each scene and device property that would allow the pop-ups. That way, unnecessary operations on key devices can be avoided. This is a standard feature in corporate level SCADA platforms.

  12. Bug: New Zwave Garage Tilt Sensor has issues

The device in question is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HGVJRX2/ref=s9_simh_gw_p60_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0QZJQ78BP23NW79Q0N0S&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

The tilt sensor adds fine to the network, however, incontrol receives updates from the sensor only about 50% of the time. It seems to work just fine on other zwave systems. Also distance does not seem to be a factor. Even right next to the z stick it only gets about 50% of the updates. However, I can see my repeater blink every time I tilt / straighten the sensor, so it is sending out info. I changed the polling rate and that has had no effect. If you view the amazon page and…

  13. iPhone/iPad App to show the floorplan

The InControl HA Server program allows floorplan. It will be nice to have the floorplan showing up on my iPad. I wall-mounted iPad and use it as a control unit. Visually, it will be nicer to have floorplan showing in horizontal orientation.

  14. Mobile Client Feature Request

    1. Add an option to control devices with a widget using mobile client instead of having to opening the full client. So if I want to turn on a light or run a scene like unlock the front door and turn on lights when I get home.

    2. Add notification option on the mobile client (without using E-mail). Something like triggering an siren except instead of a physical device, it triggers an alert on the mobile client.

  15. Allow conditions to be accounted for on manual scene push

I spoke with Ryan about this one. My goal is to make a separate open and close button respectively for my garage so when i am away from home i can "close" or i can "open. And if door is already closed it wont simply open itself as is the nature of how garage door buttons work. The module only does power on/off and garage doors need an "on" signal sent then quickly set to off. So, I made an easy scene for this. However, I want a condition to check if door sensor is open/closed so i can make…

  16. Tasker Plugin to allow the use of conditions

Imagine that you can add a tasker profile that checks for a condition of a device and then runs specific tasks.
    EXAMPLE:
It would be nice to have a tablet on a wall mount as a central control device. The display could be always on and unlocked. What you would want though, is to lock your tablet when you have your alarm system activated.

  17. More control from app

Since your software doesn't actually validate that a device enters the requested state, how about doing something that allows the user to know that the visible state has not been validated?

Add ability automatically clear error icon on PC when device is able to successfully communicate. For instance, I see a lock unlocked, but I am not sure if it is accurate or not because the error condition icon is set.

  20. Generate graphs for the state of devices

A graph of the last 24hrs and the last 7 days of the state of any device would be really helpful in debugging.
You can see if a light is on when it should not be really easily on a graph.
Also really handy to check that your thermostat setbacks are working as expected by viewing a graph of the current temp. vs. setback temp.
If you put the data into a MySWL DB it should be easy to generate some simple graphs.
Ideally have a choice of line vs. bar chart is also helpful but start with simple line…
