Option to expose virtual device to Alexa/(Google Home in progress..)
[Had to delete & repost due to sp error.]
Hoping i didn't miss any related postings.
Anyway it would be great if a virtual device, created to track a sensor reading, were exposed to & readable by the Alexa Skill. (i.e.for any who utilize Battery/Temp/Presence/Humidity/Lumens/etc trackers on the Axial server side). One could easily be able to ask "Alexa, whats the [virtual device] in [device room]. Alexa manages its own internal room name logic for all my other recognized Axial devices quite well
Just out of curiosity I tried setting a temperature tracker as a Thermostat device. Alexa discovered it, but failed to connect or pull in a value. Being able to would REALLY integrate Axial into the voice-response/activated Alexa/Google/etc with minimal effort. Google/Alexa devices (alarms, cameras, notifications etc!) could be triggered simply based on Axial virtual devices. Would absolutely be a cost-effective way toward a DIY, interactive smart home.
Thanks for reading Ryan, I've fully appreciated the product since its inception.
Best regards always,
Dan.
