Android Voice Control
Use the built-in voice control offered by Android to control lights and scenes.
If you have a specific request about what a voice command would do (i.e, "turn on garage lights"), please add it to the comments of this idea.

I solved my own problem. I should pay more attention to the server updates. I was running a version 2 updates old. All is working fine.

@Marc I am using the plugin. It seems very strange that I can turn things on but not off. I actually have to go into the app and manually turn the device off.

I've just paid for the app even though I already had tasker working with incontrol. I've had no problems turning devices on and off. Works really well for me.
@Ryan Is this going to be the plan for voice control. I'm happy if it is and probably prefer this so time can be spent on other things like multi channel.

@Fred are you using the plugin? It works perfectly with that. Also if you manually execute the task does it work?

I noticed a problem I am having with the tasks. For example, I can set up to turn a device on and it works fine. When I set up a task to turn the device off, it does not work. I tried different devices, and I can turn them on, but they will not turn off. I checked the tasker profiles, and it shows that the command was recognized in tasker, but the task does not work no matter what I do to turn the device off.

I've had a chat to Jeffery and got his going just using http get. This will be nice.
For those who are interested in Google Now integration and have root access, have a look at this video. It's how I've got mine running.

Ryan, Please add a toggle feature to the tasker plugin. This would eliminate the need to create multiple tasker profiles to turn on and off lights. Right now i have 2 seperate profiles. 1 to turn on light and 1 to turn of light. If there was a toggle, i could just use 1 keyword (i.e ceiling fan) and set up a task to just toggle it when its heard

@Jeffrey McAnarney This has all been resolved now with the release of the Tasker Incontrol Plugin. I have succesfully activated lights and scenes using Autovoice and tasker. Even before the plugin was added, the was a gentlemen in the google plus group that had a write up on it:
Scenes are easier to fire with urls as no device Id is needed in tasker
Ip:port
Path: zwave/activatesceneGet
Attributes:
password=yourpass
SceneName=sceneIn tasker you have to put these on separate lines. No ampersand needed.

@joshpond
The plugin wouldn't need to give me voice control; I can do that. But I can't use it to control InControl yet. At its most basic, I would like to be able to activate a scene with Tasker. If I could do that, I could use Autovoice to activate the scene or my location or NFC or any other trigger. Once I can do that I can look at getting fancier by passing in variables, but I would be happy to just activate a scene right now.
I have not figured out a way to activate a scene using Tasker; I have looked for the intents using PackageExplorer, but have not found anything that looks like InControl. I have looked at using EventGhost to activate the scene using the command line on the computer, but if I could activate the scene on my Android without having to jump through that hoop it would make me happy.

@Jeffery what did you want to do with tasker? Post in the forum or pm as I've got voice control on my android phone through tasker.

Is it possible to use a custom voice command not a specific command like "turn on lights" or "turn off lights"?
Because there are another languages.
It would be nice if it work with ios and windows mobile.

Activating scenes would be great.

Voice Command Ideas:
State of device. "What is the status of side door"
"Door is Locked/Unlocked"
Battery Status. "What is the Battery Status of Motion Sensor"
"Motion Sensor is at 40% battery"
Same can be used for battery powered door locks etc.
Those are the only two additional features I would like to see besides the normal Activate Device or Scene.
