Bug: ZStick with Incontrol sometimes contains Ghost Switches
I have ZStick series 2 with updated firmware in conjunction with most recent version of Incontrol. It is possible to have a non-functioning device in Incontrol that is impossible to delete without doing a complete stick reset. I have seen two causes for this. One night I noticed my front porch light was not turning on. I thought I may need to reset incontrol but that didn't make a difference. I could control all my other devices, but just not this one. I then took my ZStick, put it into add mode, then tried to add the switch back and it wouldn't take it. I then put the ZStick into delete mode, and I could then delete it and re-add it. So once I have my Incontrol updated, I now have 2 switches. One is a standardswitch which is my current front porch, and the other is my old "Front Porch" switch. So I delete my "Front Porch" from Incontrol and rename the other switch. At this point everything works again. I have to re-add the new "Front Porch" to my scenes. The problem is that when a netowrk update is recieved or a heal occurs another standard switch appears that is a ghost. It doesn't opperate anything or is real in any way, if I delete it, it will just come back. Zombie switch may have been a better description because they just don't die. In conjunction with another bug I posted, if I send a turn on command to the zombie switch, Incontrol will tell me that the zombie switch is on when it doesn't even exist. I don't know if this issues is in Incontrol or the Zstick. It has persisted over several updates for ZStick and Incontrol both. I have had this setup for 1.5 years and to this day I have this issue. My guess is having a way to delete a device out of the ZStick without that device being present may be the best approach. I have also had this issue when trying to add new devices to the network. Thanks!
